Cairo – Wednesday, 6 September 2023

As part of the scheduled activities, the delegation from The Ministry of Defence (MOD), headed by the Deputy Minister of Defence had a conducted tour of the Integrated Complex for Animal Production from the National Service Project Organization (NESPO), which was established in 2017. NESPO has 21 production sites in 7 governorates. The complex can produce 400 tons of milk per day and meat from 320 cow’s heads per day.

The complex sits on a total of 1,000 acres of agricultural farmland.
NESPO is a public-private partnership institution that enforces the vision of the political leadership of His Excellency Abdel Fatah el Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

According to Mohammed Shafie, CEO of Multi Dairy, the complex deals primarily with two specific fields’ animal protection and agriculture. It is the 2nd largest in Egypt, producing high-quality milk with high technology. It has 5,000 milking heads, aided by an automated milking and feeding system. They primarily rely on data to market their products and have 350 employees. They produce 180 tons of milk per day with an average milk production per cow per day of 35kg. In addition to animal welfare, this complex focuses on the welfare of the employees living on the farm, providing them with excellent housing and feeding facilities. NESPO intends to actualize her vision in the next two years. In the meantime, the complex sells raw milk to Johanya, Al Marayai, silo food, and obour land.
